"Colorado BioScience Association is launching a new feature called “BioTalks” at the annual BioWest Conference and Expo set for Sept. 10.

BioTalks will include eight fast-paced presentations about 'the big and bold ideas in the bioscience industry,' according to CBSA.

The BioTalks are scheduled for 10:45 a.m. and 3 p.m.

...The 2014 CBSA BioWest Conference and Expo will be held at the Marriott City Center, 1701 California St., in downtown Denver."

CBSA Releases Annual Bioscience Colorado Magazine at BIO International Convention in San Diego

Colorado BioScience Association is releasing its annual edition of Bioscience Colorado, this week, at the BIO International Convention in San Diego, CA. Xconomy: 'Colorado Legislators Aim to Reward Angel Investors with Tax Credit'

Quoting from today's posting by Michael Davidson:

"Colorado could join the list of states that offer tax credits to angel investors if a bill currently before the Colorado General Assembly is passed...

...Supporters argue that access to seed- and early-stage capital remains a challenge for Colorado entrepreneurs. The Colorado BioScience Association is one of the industry groups pushing for the bill’s passage, along with the Colorado Technology Association and Colorado Cleantech Industry Association. CBSA president and CEO April Giles said her association’s members continue to list raising money as one of their toughest problems.

They think a state income tax credit will help, and they say the tax credit programs in other states have been a boon."
